    We live here on the Big Island since 2006; even though we live south of Kona, coming to Tommy Bahama restaurant is well worth the effort. We come to the restaurant 2 to 4 times a year.     The coconut shrimp are the classic starter and the ribeye and the ahi specials are always fantastic. We wished they had offered us the bread with cinnamon butter but you have to ask about it now. I had the mahi mahi and it's always very good. The ribs were perfectly prepared. The Thai shrimp dish is one of the best choices. The crab and shrimp pasta was a new choice and we loved it. We love this restaurant.

    Our server, Thomas, made our party of 7 feel right at ease immediately. They were very busy, but the service staff were very attentive and our food and drinks were all excellent. We even had one person in the party with a food allergy, and they were knowledgable and had no issues! It was a wonderful evening for our family! Thank you!

    Only place we have ever been that happy hour is only in the bar area. Anywhere else it’s the whole restaurant. Some portions of the food came out cold. Server was abrupt and we felt pushed. Seems if you are a twosome you are not wanted but if a family they love you. Our goat cheese appetizer had hardly anything in it compared to other of the same appetizer Lots of bread but limited cheese
