Owners Wes and Chris Wheeler invite you to enjoy our Contemporary American Cuisine where we utilize Classical French cooking techniques with global influences.
Our beverage program includes a full bar, wonderful local craft beers, and a 150 bottle wine list with 50+ wines by the glass for which Undercurrent has been recognized by both Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast. We have been rated consistently tops in our class of restaurants.
The ambiance is truly one of the nicest in the area with ample space for you while dining. We now have a truly fabulous patio area. We seat our patio on a "first come first served basis".

                                        The food was excellent as was the service. We will definitely recommend it to others. And gift certificates do not expire which was a great bonus. The one we used was over 3 years old.

                                        Our server, Scott Townsend, was wonderful and our meal was delicious. Scott recommended the daily soup and it was so good. as were our entrees. Everything made our lunch a very special event.

                                        This was my very first time dining with Undercurrent and the service and ambiance did not disappoint. Gorgeous establishment and gorgeous service, will continue to return over and over in the future!!

                                        My wife, son and I ate dinner at The Undercurrent this evening. The Undercurrent is one of our favorite restaurants in the Triad. The food is usually exceptional. This evening however, much of our food was not very good. My wife reports that her Mahi Mahi was "just okay". My lamb was tasteless, too fatty and overcooked. Our son's rib eye steak was very good and the bread was very good. The chocolate cheesecake was somewhat dry. The list of wines by the glass and the list of cocktails had something for everyone. Our Server, a young lady, was quite nice and attentive. We will certainly return to The Undercurrent, but we were quite disappointed this evening.

                                        We try to eat here whenever we get a chance. Service is always great! The food never disappoints and is always amazing. Had brunch for the first time and it was fantastic! The brunch Bibimdap was delicious! Thank you to all the employees that make our experience absolutely perfect every time. FOH and BOH!

                                        A great experience. Service was excellent, food was delicious, glad we made reservations, the place was full of patrons. Perfect spot for dinner before attending a performance at the Tanger Center.
