Vallozzi's started over 50 years ago when Helen Vallozzi was selling homemade pastas out of her home. Helen opened a take out restaurant in Latrobe, PA a few years later where her popularity exploded. In 1977, Ernie Vallozzi moved his mothers location to Greensburg where it is still open and operating today. In 2012 Ernie's son Julian expanded the tradition in to downtown Pittsburgh. Vallozzi's Pittsburgh has recently joined a mere 1,200 restaurants worldwide as a recipient of the Wine Spectator Magazine's Best of Award of Excellence and is the only Italian restaurant in Pittsburgh to receive such an honor. We can host your intimate date, family dinner, business meetings, or larger parties in our banquet room. Or come enjoy a specially made cocktail in our bar area and a small bite.

Outstanding, We were delightfully surprised to find this locally owned italian restaurant here in downtown Pittsburgh. Fresh ingredients, a menu with variety, good wine, comfortable seating, and a friendly, knowledgeable staff are what we hope for. Vallozzi’s hit every mark. The Baratta ❤️the Ricotta with the bread ❤️ The lamb ❤️ Vallozzi’s is certain to be a staple in our downtown dinning favorites.

It was New Year’s Eve and busy but it was as good as it always is. The server did an excellent job given the business. The food was delicious. The Octopus is our favorite appetizer and it was excellent. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

It was NYE so the restaurant was slammed but drink service was a little slow. It was very loud but we were in bar area. It didn’t bother us, but if like a more quiet experience request the dining room. The food was amazing and served very generous portions. We will definitely go back!!!

As always we truly enjoyed our meal at Valozzis. The food and service are wonderful and the setting is very nice. Both of our dishes, seafood risotto and rigatoni with shrimp were delicious. My only critique is if you have any leftovers you want to take home you are brought a box and have to scrape your plate at the table. Rather inelegant and not in keeping with the ambience.

Food was very good as was our waiter. It took a long time to get our food and for that reason they offered us a free dessert, which also took a long time. Overall I would recommend this restaurant

I enjoyed our meal and the waiter we had was wonderful, i believe his name was mike. (not 100% sure) he was very polite and great service. Overall great experience and good food.

My Steak, mushrooms, sauce and sweet potatoes were cold. Overpriced and cooked too much. Other dishes served to family were good. Waitress was very friendly.

This was our second time dining here. Both times we had Matthew F. for our server. He is absolutely wonderful! My husband had the Veal Chop Parmesan and it was amazing!!

The Christmas atmosphere was so good! Our waitress was top notch. Meatball app is the best in town. It was a great holiday night for our family.
