   Good experience. Small menu options, but what they offered was excellent! I had steak madiera. VERY PLEASED!! Our server, Sasha, was attentive and helpful. The dining area is earthy and masculine. Very good wine selection, at least, in my rather inexperienced opinion. I’d recommend going, if you are in the SF area and looking for a solid choice on lunch or dinner.

   We live Wayfare tavern and it’s a must do on our list whenever we come to San Francisco. We have probably been to this spot over a handful of times over the past ten years. The food is always on point and just as I remember from the previous time. The pop overs are delicious and drinks are great as well. We have sat at the bar, upstairs and outside, each offering a different vibe, but all are great. I see some reviews about the noise level and the level of service declining. I was paying attention to that on our most recent visit and didn’t feel that way at all. My husband noted that he enjoys that you can sort of lock into your own world and conversation, but also hear a little hustle and bustle that makes an efficient kitchen run while downstairs. It’s refreshing, while not overwhelming or stuffy. I love this place and it has held up to our expectations each time and will continue to be on our must visit list!

   Very nice dinner. Loved the burger combo with the espresso martini. Make sure to add egg and avocado to the burger.

   From drinks to dessert the visit was perfect. The steak dinner and salmon was superb. Don’t sleep on the doughnuts.
