North Lake Tahoe’s premiere restaurant and popular bar is celebrating 41 years of exceptional service. As a family-run business, Wolfdale’s provides lakeview dining with a warm ambiance, and uses 'Cuisine Unique' to describe the fresh and simple aesthetic of each dish. Since opening in 1978, Chef Douglas Dale has developed a fusion style of California and Asian influences that is present throughout the menu. Wolfdale's accommodates gluten-free and vegan guests.

    Wolfdale is our tradition when we visit Lake Tahoe. We have been going there for the past 25 years! It is always better than the last time we love the food and the cocktails the service the location. It is always always an experience that we look forward to.

    Service and food was outstanding. Next time I will book over the phone and request the dining room. We were seated adjacent to the bar which was active and on the loud side. The Sole was perfectly prepared and delicious. Highly recommended.

    Fantastic dining experience. Beautiful ambiance, excellent service and exceptional delicious dishes. Started with amazing cocktails & lobster tempura appetizer, we were hooked. Beautiful wine list, coupled with perfect rack of lamb and incredibly delicious Meyer lemon ravioli and again perfect seared cod, followed by espresso and a shared mudslide- the perfect dinner and dessert. Definitely our new favorite in the entire Tahoe/Truckee area!

    excellent diner, shared the lobster tempura and asian inspired short ribs. Had great company at the bar, and our barmaid T was great.

    The food was delicious, fresh, beautifully prepared and presented. Tara is an excellent server and bartender: Knowledgeable, gracious, and just the right amount of attentive.

    The food was delicious, both my husband’s Thai stew and my risotto were amazing, and the smoked trout was fabulous! The chocolate cake was the best we ever had, absolutely worth our 2-hour drive to get there!!! The staff was fantastic, very friendly and attentive. Special thanks to Julia, the pastry chef extraordinaire! So sweet, and sooooooo talented!! 🤩

    We love the appetizers. Smoked trout, poke cones, hamachi spoons, tempura lobster special that is routinely available, the truffle fries. Nice quite vibes.
